If you are giving both groups in one attempt
then you required 50% or above marks in all subjects & 40% or above in the individual subjects.
In this situation, you have one benefit which is called Set off benefit.
In this situation, you are not required 50% in an individual group, your one group can help another group to achieve the target of 50% in total both group marks.
For Ex.:- You require 200 marks out of 400 marks in the individual group, and in another group, you also require 200 marks out of 400marks.
but you receive 190 marks in one group & in another group, you get 210 marks then also you achieve 400 marks target & you will qualify the intermediate level but 40% marks in the individual subject will applicable.
ICAI provides One more benefit which is called Exemption,
It will be applicable in every situation when you get 60% or more marks in an individual subject
In this situation, you do not require to give an examination of that subject up to 3 attempts.
